Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to digital accessibility.
Our Commitment
At Capiamo, accessibility is at the core of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, regardless of ability or technology. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AAA level — the highest standard of web accessibility.
What We've Done
Our website has been designed and developed with accessibility as a guiding principle. Here are the key measures we have implemented:
Perceivable
- All images include meaningful alternative text so screen readers can convey the same information to non-sighted users.
- Text contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG AAA requirements (7:1 for normal text, 4.5:1 for large text) across all pages, including dark mode.
- Content is structured with semantic HTML — proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and lists — ensuring a logical reading order.
- Font sizes use relative units, allowing text to scale with browser and system settings without breaking layout.
Operable
- Every interactive element — links, buttons, form controls, and menus — is fully operable via keyboard alone.
- All interactive elements have visible focus indicators, ensuring keyboard users always know where they are on the page.
- A "Skip to content" link is provided at the top of every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
- All clickable targets meet the AAA minimum size of 44×44 CSS pixels, making the site comfortable to use on touch devices.
- The mobile navigation menu is keyboard-accessible with proper focus management and Escape key support.
Understandable
- The language of each page is declared in the HTML, and language switcher links include the appropriate language attribute for each option.
- Navigation is consistent across all pages — the same header, footer, and menu structure appears everywhere.
- Form fields include clear labels and helpful error messages to guide users through any input process.
Robust
- All pages use valid, semantic HTML5 with proper ARIA attributes where needed — including aria-label, aria-current, aria-hidden, and role attributes on navigation, dialogs, and decorative elements.
- The site is built with progressive enhancement: core content is accessible even when JavaScript is disabled.
- Dark mode is supported via both system preference detection and a manual toggle, with all contrast requirements maintained in both themes.
Dark Mode
Our website supports a dark colour scheme that respects your system preferences. You can also toggle it manually using the moon/sun icon in the navigation bar. Both light and dark themes have been tested to meet WCAG AAA contrast requirements.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full AAA compliance, some third-party content (such as embedded analytics opt-out panels) may not fully meet all criteria. We continuously work to improve accessibility and address any gaps.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter any barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at support@capiamo.ch. We take every report seriously and aim to respond within 5 business days.
Standards & Compliance
This website targets conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AAA. Our accessibility efforts are guided by the four principles of accessibility: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR). This statement was last updated in April 2026.
